Concordance Academy of Leadership Opens Executive Office in Virginia

Former President & CEO of Wells Fargo Advisors Danny Ludeman recently opened an executive office for non-profit Concordance Academy of Leadership on South Main Street in Kilmarnock, Virginia. Since 2015, Concordance has been working to reduce reincarceration rates by precisely executing its holistic, integrated, evidence-informed re-entry program. At its St. Louis, Missouri, headquarters, Concordance Academy provides the country’s most comprehensive, evidence-based services to formerly incarcerated adults using a model designed by Washington University in St. Louis. Since 2016, Concordance has served more than 400 participants and has reduced reincarceration rates among its participants by 40 percent, surpassing its initial stated goal of lowering reincarceration by 33 percent. The Academy’s program is currently offered to participants releasing from Missouri and Illinois prisons, and services are delivered in four phases that begin six months pre-release and continue one year after release.

The Concordance executive office in Kilmarnock employs one administrative team member and does not offer programming or direct services to formerly incarcerated individuals.

“I am excited for what the future holds for Concordance Academy of Leadership and for the individuals that we humbly serve,” said Ludeman. “As we look at expanding our services into additional states, the Kilmarnock office is the first foothold on which to build programming at a later date in communities on the East Coast.”
